College Assistance Programmes

Scholarships and Awards

The College offers limited financial assistance to a number of its students. Theses are usually very competitive.
Available scholarships and awards include:

  • The Sanguinetti Award
  • Departmental Scholarships
  • Community Scholarships

Students selected for College scholarships and awards must satisfy certain conditions that may include but are not restricted to:

  • Proving financial need
  • Remaining in good academic standing
  • Demonstrating good moral character and leadership
  • Demonstrating a sense of social responsibility
  • Participating in co-curricular activities

Further information on available scholarships and awards may be obtained from the Guidance Counselor’s Office or from the Coordinator of Financial Aid, Scholarships and International Students.

Part Payment of Fees

Students seeking part payment arrangements are required to provide evidence that they have exhausted all other available financial assistance schemes.

A student requesting part- payment arrangements will be required to enter into a contractual arrangement with the College for the complete payment of the fees. The student must be able to provide evidence that he/she is able to complete payments by the time specified in the contract.

NB.     A non-refundable administrative fee of one thousand dollars ($1,000) will be charged to each student requesting part-payment arrangements. Theses arrangements must be completed by the end of September. A penalty will be charged to students who fail to meet payment deadlines. This will begin in the month immediately after the deadline was missed and will continue until payments become current. This penalty will begin in the month after classes begin for students with outstanding fees, but who fail to negotiate part0payment contracts by the stipulated time. These students will also be liable for the part-payment processing fees as well as late registration fees.

All fee payments must be completed before a student is entered for external examinations or by November 30 in the same academic year, whichever is earlier. Only students whose financial obligations to the College are fully met will be issued examination cards or timetables.

Scholarship / Sponsorship

A student receiving a scholarship will be required to have a relative/ employer sign an affidavit/ contract accepting responsibility for financial support in the even that the scholarship/sponsorship does not materialize. Adult students proving ability to pay their own fees may sign the affidavit on their own behalf.
