Department of Continuing Studies
The Department of Continuing Studies acts as a qualifying department for students who are not fully qualified for entry to professional programmes offered by the College.
Applicant will spend a year repeating required CSEC plus selected subjects from their choice of professional programme.
The Department also offers GCE O’ Levels, City of Guilds and General Education Courses, in both day and evening classes.
Applicants may also pursue subject(s) which, for whatever reason, they were unable to do in High School and/or because they need the subjects specifically as a requirement to pursue a new career.
Entry Qualifications I
Students entering with two (2) passes at CSEC Level or equivalent
- Register for three (3) CSEC or other equivalent subjects
- Register for one (1) General Education Course
Students will be awarded a certificate of completion for General Education Courses.
Entry Qualifications II
Students entering with three (3) or more passes at CSEC level or equivalent
- Register for two (2) CSEC or other equivalent subjects
- Register for one (2) courses in a Pre-College Programme
This will qualify students to pursue the Pre-College Program of their choice from those offered by the Department.
Students must meet all matriculation requirements to qualify for acceptance in all Associate Degree Programmes.

* Pre-Science are for students repeating two (2) CSEC subjects and pursuing a maximum of two (2) A’ Level science subjects.
* Pre-Arts are for students repeating two (2) CSEC subjects and pursuing a maximum of two A’ Level subjects that are not science subjects.

When you have completed your High School education at the College by obtaining you five (5) CSEC subjects, you will be awarded a High Scholl Diploma signed by the Chairman of the Board of Management, the Principal of the College and the Ministry of Education.
